This page is about your rights and how to exercise them. The Privacy Policy covers what we collect; this page covers what you can ask us to do.
1. Which law applies
We operate in three provinces, and Canadian private-sector privacy law is not uniform:
| Province | Applicable law |
|---|---|
| British Columbia | Personal Information Protection Act (BC PIPA) |
| Alberta | Personal Information Protection Act (Alberta PIPA) |
| Saskatchewan | Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) |
⚠️ Requires legal counsel: the table above reflects the common understanding, but actual applicability depends on how we operate and how information moves between provinces. It should be verified before publication.
2. Consent
We treat consent as two separate things, because they can be withdrawn independently:
- Contacting you about your enquiry — required when you submit an enquiry or lead. Without it we cannot do what you asked.
- Marketing communications — a separate, unchecked-by-default box. Declining does not affect our response to your enquiry.
We record the version of the wording you consented to, along with the time. If the wording changes, we can still trace which version you agreed to.
3. Intelligent features and your information
Some features send content to an external AI service (seePrivacy Policy, section 6). About that:
- It is the only path in our system that discloses content to a third party.
- Maps and address autocomplete stay on our infrastructure and are unaffected.
- Authorization and consent are different things: the company can disable the feature (authorization), and you can withdraw consent for your own information. Neither substitutes for the other — withdrawing consent requires contacting us, while disabling the feature is a company setting.
4. What you can ask for
| Your right | What we do |
|---|---|
| Access the information we hold about you | Provide a list, with its source and purpose |
| Correct inaccurate information | Correct it, and notify recipients where necessary |
| Withdraw consent | Stop the related processing; if this affects a service, we tell you first |
| Request deletion | Delete it, except records the law requires us to keep (such as leases and tax documents) |
⚠️ To be confirmed: response deadlines. The three statutes do not align exactly, so counsel should set the single timeframe we commit to.
5. How to make a request
Email [email protected] with "Personal information request" in the subject line and tell us what you would like us to do. To protect your information, we may need to verify your identity first.
6. If you are not satisfied
Please contact us first — most issues we can resolve directly. If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you may complain to the relevant regulator:
- BC: Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia
- Alberta: Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta
- Saskatchewan (PIPEDA): Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada
⚠️ To be supplied: official complaint page links for each regulator. We deliberately do not guess these — a wrong complaint link is worse than none.
7. Contact us

The mechanisms described here match how the system actually behaves. Items marked ⚠️ require input from the company or review by legal counsel before publication.
